FOUNDER/DIRECTOR

Kammie started dancing at the age of 4. She danced at Jane Seiferts School of Dance in Granger, Iowa. She performed at many dance competitions and Bill Riley Talent Shows throughout her time there. Kammie went to Mankato State University where she minored in dance and participated on the dance team. After college, at the age of 24, Kammie opened her first dance studio in Perry, Iowa. When her daughter turned 4, Kammie and Kaeleigh moved to Afton, Iowa where she opened Dance Explosion. Kammie has enjoyed teaching all of the kids around the community and watching them grow.

DIRECTOR/CHOREOGRAPHER

Kaeleigh has been dancing for 20+ years. She started assisting with classes at the age of 12. Kaeleigh started choreographing routines for Dance Explosion when she was a freshman in High School. Kaeleigh has won multiple awards since she started performing. In 2017, Kaeleigh made it to the finals in the Bill Riley Talent Show with her brother at the Iowa State Fair. Kaeleigh performed with the Iowa Wolves Dance Team as well as the Southwestern Community College Dance Team. She coached the SWCC Dance Team for 4 years as well as assisted with the middle school and high school dance team at East Union. Kaeleigh now focuses on choreographing competition routines at Dance Explosion.
